I don't think I've seen mention of these guys on here, but thought it might be worth drawing attention.
1/ Charlie Pitcher from Burnham, currently rowing single handed round UK anti clockwise. He's making good time and likely to overtake Dylan fairly soon.

2/ Simon Fisher [SiFi], another Burnham lad. Navigator on Azzam, Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing currently bashing across Biscay en route for Lorient.

I don't think either of them play soccer so unlikely to be mentioned in the news, but it would be nice for them to be acknowledged locally.

Obviously not much interest in our local heroes on here, so I thought I'd add a bit of controvery.
In his blog [https://www.facebook.com/charlie.pitcher] , Charlie Pitcher says that his Fortress anchor has saved his bacon.
So, there you have it, Fortress anchors recomended by record breakers. [other types of anchor may be available.
