That is indeed the issue with the new Scottish pot buoy marking laws. As far as I am aware there has been zero enforcement
I’d say that Clyde to Oban all the pots I see all marked in compliance with the new rules (maybe I am not seeing poorly marked ones now) but definitely better than it used to be. May be different further out but there’s probably bigger risks to safety going on there when nobody is watching anyway.

Agree - but then gets a lot worse as go NW from Ardnamurchan. Vatersay and W side of Sound of Harris have been some of the worst
