Loadsa useful tools coming at Lidl

Speaking of electric screw drivers. I had an extension put on at home. Watched the tradies closely. The ceiling fixer had a natty battery screw driver with belt feed screws. In this case self tappers that cut through the plaster board and into the wood. It was a joy to watch almost like a stapler, bang bang bang all one handed. Just in case anyone has a lot of screws to fix olewill

the grinder and belt job should be pretty good
Yes, plenty of safety gear needed though :)
Those boxes of asst multi tool bits are useful. Not as good quality as Dremel but a fraction of the price. Years ago I bought the whole stock (maybe 15 ish) of similar from Netto at £2.99 ea. Now about 10 years later I am running a bit short !

I was disappointed with the combined grinder/sander I bought last time they were on offer - the sander was OK for very light duty but didn't have anything like the power needed for most wood sanding tasks. The grinder was fine for drill/tool sharpening so I just use it for that.

Yes, it maybe better to have another budget type that has two grades of grit wheels.

The toolbox looks exactly like the one I bought from B&Q over 20 years ago. It has served me well but now has a split in one of the component compartment lids on the top (due to mis-treatment). I might replace it at that price although I find a squishable bag better on a small boat.

Ditto same here :D Except mine is still intact ( & that's despite me using mine as a step to stand on on occasion).

The alarm looks like a good 'un.Might buy one to add to the battery combination one that I have already got installed on the boat.

Thanks for the tip off Vic.

Yes, definitely agree with a tool bag. Have a nice one from Axminster that has the commonly used stuff and lurks in the saloon under the table - hardly ever seems to get in the way or wanders around in rough weather.

Check strength to stand on top of tool box as a hop up. A useful feature if possible.

Well, you can get that in Toolstation: http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p65198

And, you can help yourself to a cup of coffee whilst you peruse their 'laminated book of dreams'... Can't do that in Lidl.

Is it any good? Still looking for a decent replacement for Jotun. Used Hempel Tiger Xtra this year on the Tamar and it was, well, how can I put this, s**t!!!!:disgust:
