LM 27 New engine

I have just bought an LM27 which needs a new engine and I am considering changing the shaft and prop at the same time. She also needs new standing rigging and a foresail but the engine is the issue I would like advice on. Does anyone have first-hand advice or even apochraphal stories to relate?

Have a look at the Beta range. Very good company, helpful and not too pushy! Would have thought the BD722 (20HP) would fit perfectly for the LM27.

Just had Beta 28Hp (BD1005) installed in my Fisher 25 and thouroughly delighted so far. Have yet to try it out as still ashore but dont expect to be disappointed. Also had new shaft & prop at the same time. Engine much lighter and smoother than old Volvo and shoule be even more economical, even though MD2 was hardly a gas guzzler!
