living aboard in London

Does anyone know where its possible to liveaboard in London. The Marina's appear to be discouraging or prohibiting liveaboards.We don't want to dry out and would prefer not to be on the Inland waterway system because of the regs regarding gas/holding tanks etc.

Yes, it is, with discretion. Certain marinas though, and your boat should be seaworthy. Even anchorages if you want to live really cheap - but not recommended.

Hi Lilian,
Where in London do you want to live? I lived on the Thames at Kingston for 6 years. Moorings on the non-tidal are there, but expensive. Reckon with at least a pound a foot a week though. Thames Ditton marina is one example. Their wall usually has places for residential boats. My sister lives on a boat in Chertsey - not London but quiet.
