Is it possible to get residency status as liveaboards in Galicia (Northern Spain)? We know we can get our NEI numbers giving the marina address but we wish to take things further and apply for full residency.
Thanks in anticipation.

Not really sure about this, but we live aboard when in Spain, maybe about 8 months of the year. Last year we did look into buying a Spanish registered car and found out not possible in just giving a marina address. It seemed like you had to be able to provide bricks and mortar address. Of course you maybe able to provide a friends address, we did not get that far. Probably doesn't help but that is all we know.

Residency with your boat would mean declaring the boat and importing it when you officially arrive. There would be no tax on the boat as its part of your goods and chattels but you only have a month after arriving to put in motion the paperwork. The latest on skippers paper work I don't know but I had to sit the Spanish exams........... of course everything old have changed recently.
