Just finished hanging my new thermal curtains, its 22 degrees onboard thanks to my eberspacher purring away, just opened a beer, got a few squares of my favourite lint chocolate, tellys on and am sat back relaxing onboard in portsmouth harbour.

Life doesnt get much better than this :)

...Until Michelle Pfeiffer appears in your cockpit asking to borrow a cup of sugar.

Bit parkier here - the oil-filled radiator doesn't seem to be making much of an impression! Time to dig out the thermals.

I ride a motorbike through the winter just for fun too, and am used to wearing thermals, in fact, with decent merino wool thermals and a wooly hat and merino socks and some gloves, you dont really need heating on a boat !

Are you on a swinging mooring? How do you get enough power to run the eber. It must be on 24/7 at the moment.

Hey TD, you've got that Gosport Riviera feeling :D

Just touched Zero C last night. 24 degrees onboard (to keep dawgs warm) all with free lecky :D

I'm on a drying pontoon berth, shorepower keeps everything running nicely onboard.

I'm rerouting some of the eberspacher outlets this afternoon, but have just cut the ducting to add an extra bit on, and dont have any 74mm joiners to connect it all back up together !, looks like aluminium tape temporary bodge will have to do for a few nights till i find some 74mm od pipe

It is pretty good most of the time, though it does have its downside too - like when the water ran out about 6pm last night and I found myself sitting in a biting wind on a damp coachroof watching the hose for five minutes till it filled up! It has to be someone's law - your water tank always runs out at the most uncomfortable times...

TD, just you wait for the inevitable Eberspacher tantrum... if you think you appreciate your situation right now, you'll appreciate it a whole lot more when the damn thing stops working!

Ahh, but i'm prepared for that, i bought a job lot of 3 x D3L heaters a few weeks back and am slowly servicing them all as backups :) I have one of the spares fully working already, and can swap it out even in the dark in about 20 minutes now lol !

Nice one. If you'd be interested in parting with one of them, I could do with a spare, and also have a incredibly temperamental) D3L.
