Live WebCams

Been searching for live real time web cams positioned around the east coast, anyone know of any?

Or do webcams just update the frame on set times?

I once asked Bradwell if they had plans so we could see the weather whilst at home - the reply was "If we did that you'd never come here". Bradwell, bless 'em. Alan of Pipedream fame thinks there are plans to do it now. Not holding breath.

It showed some nice pics of a very high tide during ther tidal surge recently

There is a camera fixed on the Strood at West Mersea - currently broken but they say they will get it back up

It would be more interesting if it was looking out to sea rather than at the marina?

It's under the control of marina staff so whatever they want to look at , you have to look at , but they do move it

It would also be nice if Shotley fixed their "live" weather station.

Thanks Dave T_S - I have that but usually set for Walton for heading up the coast. We (as directed by senior management) try to avoid the Thames. Too many memories of the chop! Next year I plan to do a forts, windfarm and Harty Ferry trip but with hired help.

Perhaps an Eastcoasters Harty Ferry meet? For many of us the East coast starts at Crouch and goes North. A bit parochial - sorry.
