I came across this useful website today............

Now being moored in Dartmouth I think it's a handy bit of kit to have at hand.
Many's the time I've wondered what the wind and direction REALLY is, and not just relying on a prediction. Now I can see this info first hand without getting off my settee! Brilliant!

There must be many more site like this and I thought it would be really useful to have this information in one place (maybe it already exists).

Absolutely right!!

I set up the system at Froward Point and it has proved to be very useful for all sorts of people from the Dart Harbour Authority to check wind speed for visiting cruise ships ( above a certain speed it is not viable to navigate the river) to window cleaners who email when the system is down!

I walked up to Froward point to see how its all done when I was down in august, very interesting and staff are very good at explaining what is what, definatly worth a visit
