Had a fantactic weekend.

Saturday - a friend took me for my first trip in a light plane. We flew from the west cost of Ireland to the east coast in a hour. Landed and had a cup of coffee and flew back again. Never above 3,000 feet. I say first trip as I want a further trip over the Shannon to see coast line from 3,000 feet, gives an interesting perspective.
If you thought boating was expensive then take up flying.

Saturday evening - did not win the lottery. 3.5 million euro would have been nice.

Sunday. Bright sunny, blue skys, packed the kids and there friend in the car and went to the boat. A fantactic day for February. Looking forward to the summer.

Monday morning - first call on the mobile. A friend had died from cancer the previous night.

Back to reality. However it makes you appreciate the time you have and encourages me to make the most of it.

Sorry about your friend and you are right in your sentiments.
