After a year with no real facilities for visiting yachts, Littlehampton now has a new visitors' pontoon that can take deep keel boats administered by the Harbour Board. Toilets and showers will be available later in the summer, but in the meantime the facilities at the Arun Yacht Club (opposite the moorings) are available to visitors - the Harbour Master has a leaflet about the club.

Why not come an experience the thrill of 'ferry gliding' against a 6 knot tide!

We visited in May-great welcome from the Harbourmaster who provided guidance over the VHF on the depth in the entrance and the best line over the bar-then welcomed us and took our lines and told us where the key local attractions were-best welcome we have had from anywhere-worth a visit.

As an ex member and ex RC of Arun YC and in the area last Friday evening, I went for a nostalgic walk down Rope Walk and had a look across the river at the new pontoon. It looks really good and I plan to run a cruise next season from Chichester. Are you a member of AYC? If so please give my regards to Roger and Wendy on Reef Knot.
