I hope I can use this forum but I’m rather pleased with my mini refit.

The first pic was taken around March last year. I cleaned it up, banged a new 30hp on and used it for 110 hours last year !

The second was today after a mini refit over the last few weeks.

I’m rather pleased with the results ...

Give up on image rotation and size. Basically drilled inspection hatches and drained double skinned hull.

I took everything off, re sealed, replaced inc rubbing strake and got those nice trimmers at Penton Hook to knock me up some shiny new cushions.

For someone that has very little DIY skill or patience I’m very pleased with it.

can’t wait to use it this summer. Trip today was uneventful and did all looks solo.
Back in her home berth at Teddington Harbour.

Looks very smart now - huge difference!
( I thought the name was used in “Howard’s Way” for their first boat design but on checking with Mr G, it was “The Flying Fish”)

The builder is Outhill Boats who used to be in the Midlands, Plancraft now have some of the moulds.

The model is a Flying Fox 17 (PDQ I believe) they were a very popular alternative to Dell Quays

The Boats Shop (Teddington Harbour) used to be dealers. In fact when I was 14 used to work there washing them ! That’s was some time ago ....

This one is actually named after a Pokemon, my six year olds choice !
