Little orange lights

My boat has a Bl@@dy volvo - on the dash above the key are two little orange lights - i guess one is an ignition light what is the other ?? (Oil ??). There is a temp gauge above that?? Both lights come on before the key is full over.
Any ideas ??

Yes its an oil light. Bet your tacho is in the same plate along with the key switch. And the pull switch is for instrument illumintaion.

Mmmmm. When you break it. You break it big time!!

I would expect one to be a 'charging' lamp (ie out when alternator running) and the other to be oil pressure warning.
Both will be on at switch on and off once started. If they come on whilst running you have a little problem to deal with............

Yup - the right one on combined with the Temp gauge in the red was a sure sign off ........

Is it a diesel engine? If so could it be the glow plug heater light?
