Hi all,
Does anyone know where to find a replacement 'Little John' saddle clamp for 1" tubing and 5.5cm hole centres?

I recently refurbished my outboard bracket but I now notice that one of the saddle clamps is cracking where the half round meets the flat for the fixing bolt (I must have overtightened it). I have done all the usual Google searches including pages of images - all to no avail. B&Q has nothing similar.

Any ideas anyone?
Regards
Bob

I think they're marketed by Designer Marine - 01420 82712.

If they can't help, Google for 25mm saddle stainless and you'll find a hospital conduit bracket which should do the job.

I phoned that number and a very charming lady said that they had left about 10 years ago, but she gave me another number which I rang - number not in service. Doing a reverse look up, it belonged to 'Yachtstyle' in Camberley. Their website is still up but showing copyright 2006. I then went to you suggestion B.

I am trying another Google based on your suggestion but failing (yet) to find anything close. The 5.5cm seems to be the issue - e.g. TV clamps are 5.0 and the RS ones are 4.0

Have you considered asking a stainless fabrication company local to you to make one from your pattern? Shouldn't be too expensive I'd have thought.

Sounds like that will be the way forward. First step is find a fabricator - new territory for me.
Thanks

When mine broke I just used a dinghy shroud link plate from the local swindlery cut to size and bent into place as I tightened it up. Simples. Don't forget the Duralac/Tefgel, or it'll fizz away.

Thanks for the tip - I'm going to F4 in the morning for something else so will scout round.
