Can anyone suggest any titles (or pass on pearlettes of wisdom) regarding leaving the rat race and sailing into the sunset? I work largely from home, so could do the same from a boat; I need something to nudge me along that road...

Theres one called, I think, sell up and sail, but just do it!! I did and haven't regreted one minute, I'm serious, not one minute. I still work, but in the oilfield, two weeks away, two aboard, wouldn't change it. In the meddy by the way, tried it in UK, too bloody cold!!

With house prices having peaked this seems like a good time to take a few
years out of the property market, otherwise letting your house produces
a modest income. You will have to spend some money if you want to
work on board by say satellite email, but it may well be worth it.
i think the thing is to do it when you want to do it and have the
wherewithall. Postpone it and eventually declining agility and fitness
makes it much less likely.
