I was doing well at the boat show talking French to the Italians

Thats easy. Even I'm fluent in French when speaking to Italians Its speaking French to French people that is my problem

Actually, boat shows are a good place to practice French for me. For some reason I find it easier to talk French to a French person if I know they can speak English (and everyone at the show is of course multi lingual). It’s like I feel safe because we have a back up form of communication. Unfortunately I have dinner with my ex neighbors on Friday, and it’s French and only French, and because they no longer live local I can’t drink to loosen my tongue :disgust:
