Your revs might be a bit low if thats flat out. I'm guessing that a P315 is a bit smaller than my P35 So should be faster with same engines. I am not joking now. Give it a dose of Soltron before doing anything else.

Props. I cant remember now. Changed mine last year for new 4 blade. Cant say it improved anything much. I'll see if I can find out.

My Corniche with the same engines revs at about the same level but I am getting 22/23 knts without too much difficulty. However i think that this is still a bit low so will investigate prop options unless anyone has any other suggestions (other than emptying holding tank).

We should compare notes sometime as engines and set up must be similar.

Try taking off 2 coffee mugs, one place setting of cutlery and a corkscrew, the boat is probably overloaded /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Recently checked my P33 with GPS(when in possesion of 2 x trim tabs).
Gave 15 knots mean . WOT @ 3400 rpm.@ x 135 HP.
Should have thought you should be lots quicker than my heap.

Well. My boat goes much faster Upstairs than down. I got the mechanic thingy to check with his watsit thingy. He said that the clocks were reading 200 revs low. But never found out if that was upstairs or down. Suspect down stairs. So wat clocks read aint necesarily wot you get!! You Still havent sasid what size a P315. Mines 8 tons on the crane. I have been known to register 25 knots. Without trying. Othertimes 18 knots about September time and plenty of weed. Ive now started to cruise at about 18/20 knots, where as I used to cruise at 22. and about 3600 revs. Not the 3800 possible. So it's a bit of amistery. Are rev counters correct? Are diesel lines and filters full of crud. Put some Soltron in and see what the differnce is. Mine went better with less smoke.

Initial burst of extra speed and no smoke. Then, kapow. Decreased performance. Obvious! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Err, let me know if Depsol enters the forum, I'll go and hide.

Just because you havent got a bottle opener (or a fleximirrorthingy) doesnt mean you should try and make others do without............

Anyways, we're talking about real boats here, not those little traillysailly odds and sods floating(almost) plastic storage bins.........

I gather your using a GPS to get the speed ? but even they can be wrong - I have a hand held garmin thingy that reads two knots higher than my (correct) fixed set. Anyway of getting a verification? cos with those 41s you should get at least 22 kts.
