(Get it?)

Very good :D

Miss Lisi

Hmm not too keen.

How about just "Lisa" ?

you could try n squeeze "Big Bob" on the stern !!!!!!................................. runs for cover !!

Daft head :rolleyes::D

What about the name on the back like the above boat

I have a bit of a thing about names on the sides. Makes it feel unbalanced to me somehow. Has to be on the stern for me.

I use Kings Marine out of Trafalgar Wharf to service my yamaha outboard.

Thanks for that...much appreciated.

What about putting the name on the back of the port swim platform? Would that not give you a longer space if the name you like in the end is more than 4 letters (obviously height would be a little restricted)?

On the servicing question you have to have it serviced by a Yamaha dealer to maintain the 5 year warranty.. Can the dealer you are buying from not do the regular servicing for you?

Also check the required service schedule carefully.. If I remember the first service is needed in 3 months of something like that.. I missed it completely because I just looked at the hour requirement and figured it was required at the hour mark or 12 months as it is for all subsequent services.. I was told it would be fine and wouldn't cause any warranty issues but would have preferred to have kept to prescribed schedule to avoid any potential "get out" attempts if there was a major issue..

Thanks Wipeout...that's good info to have. The dealer isn't local so I'll need to find someone around The Solent.
Thanks again

I have MF645 with a Yamaha 115. It has been serviced by the Yamaha dealer in Warsash. Not experienced any problems and they seem to do things on time which is not always the case in the marine industry.

Thanks for that...I'll look them up when the time comes. Do you know the name of that dealer?

Buy it with a Suzuki instead.....

Roy (?), we weren't given an option on engine. We did ask but were told that the test performance on the boat quoted is with Yams so if the buyer changes the engine/s then that performance could differ (for better or worse I guess). In reality, I suspect Jeanneau probably have a deal with Yamaha. Who knows. Anyway...we're happy with the Yam specced and haven't heard of any issues with them. All I care about is that it's reliable.

Just came back from my local boat show and really enjoyed it. I actually prefer these smaller shows to the big ones where the boats are guarded by pretty Rottweilers. Anyhow I went on a MF895 (this had twin 150 yammies), I really liked it, now I must confess that I used to have a Merry Fisher so I have a lot of affection for the breed. I think that when people downsize, boat or house, it's easy to overdo it and go too small and this can lead to misery and depression. But the MF895 is a good chunk of boat, it could take you anywhere in comfort. Well done:encouragement:
