When we finally did get moving again yesterday on the sprint back to the marina for a macerator impellor we finally managed to take some footage of NC coming back through the Lincoln bridges with the hoods up. Several other Sealine S23/25 owners have attempted this and failed resulting in costly canopy and framework repairs. So just to prove it can be done we filmed it. As you can see it is close but easily achievable if you can steer properly

About 9ft, just a tad over.

You really have to commit to going through and not dither otherwise the wind/flow will take you knock you across and off course. This is how people end up colbbering their boats on the bridges. If you are confident and go for it the boat stays square on and you make it through. It is scary the first time you attempt it though.

Nice job, well done. I like the way you dip your head, just in case!

By the way, I can see 2 burgees, but neither look like MB Forum!!

Thats the OH dipping his head. Force of habit :D

The burgees are the Sealine Forum burgee and the Lincolnshire Flag. NC is a lincolnshire lass:)

good video that, brings back some good memories for me. I spent a lot of time in the early nineties around there, used to drink in the witch and wardrobe, then on to the local club Ritzys on a saturday night.

We have spent many a sunny saturday afternoon moored outside the Witch and Wardrobe for a few beers. Nice pub.

Regardless of what I think about you hanging your washing out to dry in the Marina, I have always been an avid fan of your lovely picturesque posts.

They are probably the best in the Thames forum! :o

In fact, I would be honoured if you were to write a lovely little piece with a few Photo's, and I'll stick em in 'Guests corner' in the next edition! :D

You write, I'll edit

As Editor, I am supposed to collate and present the Mag, not write the whole bloody thing! :D

This is a magazine for the masses, from the masses. or summat like that
