Lightweight polisher

I did a large repair on a Contessa 38 which involved a lot of fairing, I hung two single blocks off the cover purlin with a line running through them, Brick on each end & rupes long bed sander attached to the bight in the middle. Made the machine weightless & you could move it around as desired. I would not use this system on a rotating polisher though as risk of it getting tangled up & spoling your day is far too high. You have to watch you dont nut the dangling bricks too!

After falling off a makeshift scaffold made with beer kegs and boards, and breaking my ankle, I decided to buy a small access tower for about £200, its not the sort of thing I would want to go up any higher than 6 foot on, but it is plenty high enough for the boat, and handy at home, it really makes all the difference.
As for a polisher,I bought the bungee free Dodo Juice Spin doctor.
Initial cost for both with 3M polishing pads was in the region of £450, and it's done me well for the last 9 years.
