I confess to googling 16 out of curiosity, Fastnet is iconic, all others I've sailed past.

Should have included 15 Needles.

Hmm. 16 is Usedom but only just. Perhaps the town's spelling was too hard?
30 is not Jersey
Stevenson's lighthouses are, no doubt, admirable, but I have never sailed past or visited one, so I have no photos of them in my personal selection. Nos 7 & 17 ought to be easy for South-Coasters, and even 10, though an unfamiliar view.

I have ascended 4, 23, 27, 28 & 29. I didn't have any euros in my pocket & missed out on 14.

29 Alderney, that is my father, he was Principal keeper there 1985 - 1995 until he retired.

Thanks for that. I well remember the very enjoyable tour he gave just the two of us. I'm not exactly sure of the date but it would have been around 1990. The interior of the lighthouse was immaculate, of course, and the rails were of polished brass. Seeing our reticence about touching anything, he reassured us not to worry, since it was all polished every day anyway!
