This year I have suffered signifigant damage to my marine electronics due to lightning strikes. I have tried the "fuzzy brush" as a means to prevent damage, but apparently it does not do a very good job. Does anyone know of a manufacturer of lightning protection gear for marine electronics whoes products actually work?

This is a question best posed in the PBO forum or possibly the sailing forum. Us Stinkpotters rarely if ever suffer lightning strikes as we have built in protection around us in the form of Raggies. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
My knowledge of such matters is limited but I would assume that whatever conductor you fit a zillion volts shooting down it is bound to have an affect on your 12 volt stuff.
Incidentally it's nice to see someone else wets the bed and has to get up in the middle of the night... I am no longer alone.
