Does anyone know of a timer that will switch a battery operated light on?

Failing that I know there are some alarms/motion sensors that can send alerts toa mobile, but could this be adapted or is thre a similar device to turn light on wirelessly?

My boat is neaped 'til end of month following last Friday's storm/surge and I'd like to have a light on board to put off any lurkers.

Velleman do a range of timer kits, I have one controlling the heat-exchanger fan in my bathroom. There may be one suitable for your needs.

This little timer clock is what you want. This is a Perth (antipodes) supplier but I imagine something similar or same thing is available in the outback (UK)
It has a battery to run the clock. Mine has been running for many years. I keep expecting the battery to die but not so far.
it has a built in relay running on 12v supply with options for on and off times on different days etc. good luck olewill
