Light fingers are about

Yep, old as the hills, like the one about your mate with thr Rolls who crushed the offending Mini out of the multi storey car park, because 'He could afford to' :D

I looked at a "pre-owned" Roller once; took it for a test drive; back to the showroom - looking the car over I opened the glove compartment and there were a couple of golf tees.

The salesman says " oh, they are to rest your balls on before you drive off"

I says " F... me. Rolls Royce think of everything!"

It is a Honda 2.5M inflattable with an aluminium floor. This has a dent where I dropped the outboard ,skeg down, one day.

Was at Beaulieu Boat Jumble today and kept my eye out on the off-chance. Not sure what I'd have done if I'd actually spotted it but the dilemma never arose.

Would doubt that anything other than a tiny minority of stuff turns up at Jumbles, much of it gets sold directly to that bloke next to you in the lock by way of the pub ?

When our Quicksilver inflatable went missing a few days before the Kent Boat Jumble I asked the police what to do if I found it there. The suggestion was to put down a deposit "go find a cash machine" and call the police.

It wasn't there:-(
