Is there anywhere (except for the cowes sealift) that will do me a lift and wash, (ideally with an overnight hold) on a weekend in the Solent somewhere? 12m, 2m draft.

Hardway Sailing Club has grids that can take 2m draft at springs with substantial piles to lean against, if that's any help.

A tenner a tide plus the jetwash which costs another tenner to hire and £3 for a token (about 30 mins)

Check your tides to make sure you'll have enough water to float off, someone with a boat your size didn't and spent a month stuck, to his considerable embarassment and everyone else's great amusement!

We had quite a good deal from Hamble Point 2 yrs ago when our saildrive needed attention. We had lift-out, overnight on the hard and back in for about £120 so I imagine a lift & return would be a fair bit less.

Was going to suggest Hardway SC, where we have 4 scrubbing grids and 2 high pressure pumps. It will cost you about £30 for 2 tides, and you will find that people are friendly.
You would need to plan a visit on 4.2 minimum tides both on and off, 4.4 metres better for a 2 metre draft. ( my boat is similar).
At this time of the year the grids get busy, so you can book them at the clubhouse ---please leave a telephone number for contact purposes

Lift out in Gosport

I used Gosport Boat Yard (no connection). They are at the north side of Gosport Marina and have a special "Bottoms Up" weekend offer with a lift out, spray and block off on Friday afternoon. You then have the weekend to work on the boat and they crane back in on Monday morning. I don't have my files with me so can't tell you the cost but it seemed reasonable.

Contact 023 92586216 (web site at http://www.gosportboatyard.co.uk/)

I used them for my first lift last autumn and was impressed with the advice and help offered. They replaced a worn cutlass bearing on the spot.

Used Gosport Boat Yard a few weeks ago for a weekend ashore. Cost £360 for 12m boat.
Not sure where you are berthed but they collect and return the boat FOC in the immediate area.
Chris, Jill and the staff who work there are a friendly approachable bunch.
