I have contacted Lefkas marina for a quote for a lift out, pressure wash, a week on the hard before return to water.

I also asked if it was permitted to do maintenance work myself, (some do not) which they confirmed by email to me that it is permitted, but, it was not permitted to liveaboard whilst on the hard in the cradle.

I am happy with their quote, and the marina seems to be very suitable for other services, has anyone any recommendations about accommodation locally, or is this rule ignored or a blind eye turned to it, any suggestions or recommendations please, I could probably get finished in three days, max four (two/three nights) if timing right.

I've stayed in:
Lefkada Center Apartments
S. Filippa Panagou 5, Lefkada Town, 31100, Greece

(Booked through booking.com)

Once in December for 2 nights and again in February for 3 nights, clean, and just refurbished apartments about a 5-7 minute walk from the marina and it was only £65 for the 3 nights!

No connection, just a happy customer!

All the KG Marinas have clamped down on this. Some are more vigorous in the implementation than others but with costs as detailed by"Thedreamoneday", and similar in Gouvia, is it worth the inconvenience? Lots of places in Lefkas, near to the marina to get meals.

If Joe and Robin still own the chandlers on the edge of town (CYS) it might be worth asking them.

"Edge of Town" sounds out a bit but it is, in fact, right on the end of the town quay and "Yes" Joe is still there. He is also the Cruising Association Hon. Local Rep. However, don't take up HIS offer of Yacht Guardianage, it strictly EXCLUDES owner-maintenance.

No restriction AFAIK on living aboard at any of the three yards at Preveza. All are perfectly competent at carrying out the work you want and no restrictions on working on your own boat.

Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions, following a further request to the marina I now have permission to stay on board for 7 days, but not longer, which will be ample, weather permitting, for what I need to do.
Thanks again
