Why o why are the bags not available separately.
These get the UV & degrade but whats inside is as new :ambivalence:

Agree. On second lifesling in 4 years just because the bag for the first fell apart completely after 3.

Many years ago we made a replacement bag out of Sunbrella and stitched the instructions to it.

Earlier this year got a complete Lifesling (like new) off a forumite for £30. Sold the old one for £10.

If the bags degrade that quickly I'll take the 'new' one off my pushpit between trips out.

+1 - very simple shape, shouldn't take more than an hour or so including the various straps and velcro.

As Strolls has pointed out, you can easily buy the bag from the US. I bought one from West Marine about 10 years ago.
