I have a three year old ML Lifeguard Fortes B liferaft, this is due for its first service. Can anyone recommend a servicing company in the Southampton area that does a good job for a reasonable price.

This time I had mine done at Norwest Marine, they advertise in the yachty mags.
The bill for the service was 159 quid, this includes door to door pick up/return. Previous service was with Ocean Safety in 99, yeah I know it should be done every year!!!, thier bill was 213 quid and I delivered and picked up.
With the time difference of a couple of years seems like Norwest Marine are good value. As an example Ocean safety included in thier service bill 11.36 for container labels whereas Norwest Marine charged 3.00. Ocean Safety charged 8.5 quid to clean container whereas Norwest Marine didn't charge for this. You need to be aware that the quote for service is the base and everything else is charged extra. so with Ocean safety the base charge was 85 and final 213, with Norwest base was 60 and final 159. It's difficult to judge as different service places will use different consumables but I reackon it's worth thinking about sending it "up North"

Avoid Viking because their estimates seem to forget a nought which is then added on to end bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
