liferaft servicing

There is a company in Southampton doing liferaft servicing for good price, and can deliver back cheaply (I'm in Pembrokeshire). Getting it there is the problem. Carriers either expensive or won't do it. I just wondered if there were one or two others in the pembrokeshire/south wales needing liferaft servicing we could organise a trip or carrier which would cut costs for everyone....anyone interested?

whats wrong with cosalts at milford docks?

Same question re. Cosalt at MH...I'm about to take mine there. £167+vat for a 4-man Seago in valise. Having said that they are very busy right now and it could be mid-may onwards before they can do mine.

Cosalts oilies are also good stuff.Your paying for the item not the trendy name as with some yachty brands.

Last year Cosalts said they couldnt service my particular make of liferaft.

Ah, that explains it. You'd think with all the commercial rafts they do, they could service anything! Out of interest, what type of raft is it and how much did the firm in Southampton quote?

Arimar 4 person valise, bought from Alladdins Cave. Mayday Marine quoted £90.00 plus Vat...obviously might be more depending on what they find after looking in bag!
