Ask your local fishermen - they'll certainly know the best place to balance price, distance, time, quality.

And that is the best advise you can give any yottie!

Gear, servicing, instruments, engines,... go for what fishermen get.
If it doesn't work: for yotties it's just a day sailing up the spout, for fishermen it's their livelihood.

I agree with posts to source locally if you can, as carriage costs can be a big element, but I did get my liferaft service by Norwest Marine in Liverpool & I am based in the Oxford area. They can arrange carriage both ways. I took it up myself as was travelling up there anyway, but their charge for the return delivery(c 200 mls?) was £18 +Vat and the basic service charge £60 excluding replacement items was pretty good I think. Nice people & per other posts above, they do a lot of commercial gear servicing. You could always give Ian a ring on 0151 207 2860, just to get idea of likely cost.
