Liferaft rental - Solent

Anyone rent a liferaft for the season, rather than buying your own and then getting the servicing etc done as required?

I’m doing it for an upcoming 260 nm trip, but from Mylor Chadlery so not that close to the Solent, I’m afraid. Good rates for 4 days and they’re couriering it to me.

I used to rent from ocean safety.
Every year you get a different shaped raft in a bashed canister.
I bought a new one in a shiny canister that fits under my customer made helm seat.
3 yearly services.

I've abandoned this idea, rental makes sense if you only want teh LR for a few days or a week or two. Doing it as an alternative to buying makes no financial sense... Year 1 is cheaper. Year 2 might just break even. After that it's more.
