Hi Folks

Been thinking recently I really ought to get a liferaft, they are getting more affordably, problem nowhere to keep it handy

On my S23 there is a liferaft sticker adjacent to the the transom gate, but I cannot see where it should go as there is no room under the sterm seating as there is a stiffening bar there.
Has anyone else seen a liferaft on an S23 or S25?

Thanks, that's what we were looking for

BTW I was down your way at Deacon's yesterday and thought of you, we still have the Sealine you took us out on over 4 years ago!

We are now across the river where you and I first met. You have done well with the boat; despite your "little" incident.

I meant to add, if you do get a life raft then I strongly recommend you do the sea survival 1 day course. You get to use a raft for real - albeit in a swimming pool but will give you an idea of what tod do should you have to use it for real.

We are also looking into this. We have seen one with a bracket made that fitted to the rear bars. This however left the bathing platform redundant and access across the back of the boat none existant.

We are going to get a 4 man valise and store it where the table fits. We intend taking the cockpit table out whilst at sea so access is easier.

Really dont know why there is a liferaft sticker where it as as there is no way a liferaft would fit there!!!!

A Google search for "Sealine S23 liferaft" returns a few hits. Might be worth looking through a few of them to see if there are any pics including the liferaft ?

For those who mostly use the boat inland, it might be unnecessary to carry the liferaft inland. In which case a valise for sea trips seems to make sense.

Thats what we where thinking. As we keep Cal inland we will get a valise and take it home when not in use. We looked into the cost of hiring liferafts, but it seems to make more sense to buy than rent one.

On my S24 decided to use my dinghy on snap davits which is a reasonable compromise for a liferaft. When I looked at this a few years ago I felt even the smallest liferaft was too big and would get in the way on the bath platform as well as being too heavy (liferaft & a dinghy seemed too much really).
