What is the panel's preferred shape?
I have it on good authority that in a Nor/Nor/Westerly F8 and above a flat shape is most efficient. However in a cyclonic wind-over-tide beam broach sea an undulating, perforated profile is much more stable.
Optimum performance is also influenced by which type of kitchen appliances are on board.
A 6 man valise with a small flask and a food mixer would present no problems in a westerly F4, but a 4 man canister with an Aga is a no-no in anything above a gentle breeze.
AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Nurse, nurse...
PS. Clearly fruit has no place in a marine environment and should be avoided at all costs
