I noticed this on another forum.
My insurance company (Pantaenius) wants to see fire suppression in the battery box. That's why I've bought that self-contained gas system.

Less internal resistance makes a short causing a fire more likely than with lead batteries, but we have Class T fuses protecting against that other than just the last few cm of cabling between fuse holder and battery +.

Ordinary overloading of the cables causing a fire, or a wonky connection, will be the same risk as with lead. The cabling in this new system (like in most people's new LiFePo systems) is far better quality than the old system, and is fused and circuit breakered to prevent overloading the cabling.

The old battery boxes were not fire resistant and there was no fire suppression system.
