I need to buy lifejackets for the family - ages 3,5,10 & 13 and also for myself and SWMBO. They will be used on rivers and coastal UK.
What are the most suitable makes and where is the best place to purchase from ??

Cleopatra - yellow hull called Court Jester. Have you seen her ?

Does this mean that at last you've bought the boat. If so tell us all about it.

Saw a good deal advertised in this months MBM, either compass or YBW offering auto jackets at just under £50.

Last month's MBM had a long article comparing various types of lifejackets. Perhaps you could borrow a copy from someone, if not, post here and I'll try to precis their findings.

With a tribe like that it's going to cost you. They are all to a standard therefore safe, but the kids need to wear them i.e 'look cool!'. Don't make the mistake ( as I have done) of economising and then having to 'force' the kids to wear them.
I think the Plastimo 'Family' inflating ones look good £55 manual inflation £67 automatic.
multiply by 7 ...ouch!!

Nearly - Sea trial next weekend if all goes to plan.
But I need to get everything sorted before i.e. insurance, survey, lifejackets, tow vehicle...... etc So I can just go out and buy the lot in minutes. Once I am the proud owner I wanna use her ASAP.
