Just re-arming and servicing a collection of lifejackets I found an extremely useful site with a nice little visual identification guide to the various inflators.

https://rt-supplies.co.uk/not-sure-which-lifejacket-rearming-kit-is-needed/

Excellent service, friendly telephone advice and assistance, 24 hour delivery and good prices.

I always like to support the "independents", and I'll be using this guy again.

No connection other than as a very satisfied customer.

+1

I used them last year and they were much cheaper than others for bits I wanted. Also even had tiny parts such as the plastic clips to indicate when cylinder has been fired manually.

I suspected it was going to cost a lot more than what it did. I acquired a yacht last summer that was very well equipped, but sadly, not used for some years. As a result, many bits and bobs were time expired or had been activated and then re-packed and hung back up.

6 life jackets, and my Spinlock deckvest .. We gave all of them an overnight inflation test, checked the whistles, noted the state of the gas bottles, checked the expiry of the automatic release etc. Basically, everything bar one as in need of service. The parts to rejuvenate the whole lot came to less than £100 and as you say, come with the correct plastic clips for the indicators.

Given the published cost of life-raft servicing, I was expecting a much larger bill.

Now, if I could just find a similar service for the bits needed to service the lifraft ...
