They sell a 2 man liferaft! Brilliant! Why don't other companies? What a good idea, considering the 1000's of yachts with limited space, sailed by one or two people. That could seriously tempt me into carrying a liferaft again.

Well I won't ever be carrying a 4-man anyway, but a 2-man is a possibility. Better a bit snug, than nothing, you could say (in the very rare circumstances when yacht crew abandon to rafts).I reckon a 4-man liferaft might be considered "snug" by only 2 people.
You can hire one for a year, for the price of a service (roughly), avoiding the capital outlay, and the depreciation of buying and eventually scrapping due to age.4 man ocean cannister, all the kit, your advice please.

Bit of a tangent, but would it be possible to buy a life raft (or over any other big ticket item) vat free, if you were on your way out of the country?
