LIDL oil/diesel pump

Has anyone used one? Will it pump water?

I have been looking for something with a small bore pipe to get into the bottoms of lockers and shallow bilges to pump out water. Places too shallow for normal bilge pump to pick up

If it will pump oil or diesel it must surely pump water.
Looks good, but the flow rate of 0.2 litres a minute for oil is dreadfully slow.
Diesel at 1.5 L / min ( and presumably water) is a bit better and may well be suitable for lockers etc.

Yes used it for last two oil changes on 30hp yanmar so not a huge amount but it did what it said on the tin
You are limited by the wire length the crocodile clamps work with a battery or power pack but I am considering using a cigar plug and extension lead
For my mind much better than Pela
There are some small pumps designed to use as a shower which might do the job but at £13 this one Looks a no brainer

I would swop the clips for a cigar plug and use it with a jump start power pack I keep on board.

No , at least it is not suitable for pumping water

engine oil, diesel or fuel oil.
This product is not suitable for pumping water (no lubrication of the pump), gearbox
oil (too thin-bodied) or highly fl ammable liquids (petrol and paraffi n etc.).
This device is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned.
Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted.
The operator alone bears liability

It might just corrode inside with water though?
I can do better than 200cc a minute with a big oil syringe, no batteries required!
Possibly even with the small syringes I use for things like brake bleeding!
To be fair, does need two hands though.

I have a similar one bought on EBay and it is great for oil and diesel. The manual says in big letters that it's not suitable for water or petrol.

I never heard of electric camping showers.

But I need something that sucks through a small pipe as the bottom of the lockers is blocked by a ply false bottom with a 1/2" space.

Why not just get a Pela pump? Works anywhere, removes any liquid, no power needed.

OK, they're great devices, primarily intended for oil changes on engines, but will suck up lots of other liquids. Go for the 6000 model, which you'll find for about £35 or less.

The pela works really well. I use the metal tube for the engine oil but bought some plastic fine bore tube from the chandlers for water etc.

If you can reach with your arm a turkey baster works well for the last bits.
