I learned something last week. Most people in the UK call this establishment "lidal". It is in fact pronounced "lee-dl".

Known that for ages.

Likewise Aldi is mispronounced I think you will find


Must have been on the forums....... I dont learn much anywhere else these days

Maybe that's the correct way to say it in the foreign place where it started, but in Britain it rhymes with widdle.
The Tottenham branch is, of course, "Yidl".
