..to add to the list of useful stuff at Lidl, they have emergency 16- led warning lights; buoyant, sos (or other) light signal. £6.99 in stock now. Has a magnet, so ok for the car but keep away from the compass!

The latest Which? magazine has tested AA and AAA batteries. Both Aldi and Lidl brands were best buys and lasted longer than Duracell Ultra. At about one quarter the price.

Driving an old car, i have wired in a 12v 20w led flood light in the back incase of roadside repairs. I have been eyeing these up for ages now to add to the list of safety. A strobe light bought on ebay called Afunta is very good also
