LIBS

I like that. Works well on a MacBook Pro.

Allows you to wander round and get a good general feel for layout.

I was reminded of a really old and not that common Sunseeker model when looking at the Man 66, I think it was the Caribbean 52. Didn't that have steps down to a cabin on the port side aft or was it just the galley ?

Henry :)

Works really well on iPad and iPhone 7, bit tricky on my ancient PC but awesome stuff.
I take it a whole library of boats will be available soon or was it a one off (two off!)?

I've ordered Google Cardboard from ebay but no idea how it works.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

We are still trialling the software but will hopefully be adding more boats to the library when we get the opportunity.

Jack, I like it too. Any chance you can film the Sq53 at Dusseldorf for those of us that are unable to attend?

Unless the tripod is too tall to fit under the master cabin roof ?

Don't worry, I'm only being naughty. Also really looking forward to seeing the SQ 53. Are Fairline back in the game?

If they are the timing couldn't be better. Cheap pound, home grown customers facing long build times elsewhere and ever increasing price lists.....

The build quality has always been there we just need to see that internal volume develop.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in Miami Beach next month. Any whispers from Andrew Pope if there are plans for Mancini to freshen the Sq 65/78 models? Certainly flat floors would be a improvement?

I really hope Fairline can pull it out of the bag. Having owned 2 in the past I have a soft spot but they just didn't feature in our last 2 purchases.

I wonder if we might see a Sq53 at the Great British boat builder's festival in Swanwick this year?

Henry :)

Henry, I really hope so and when I asked Fairline that question a few weeks ago and the answer was 'maybe' (depending on the availability of a boat to show). Next time I speak to them I'll get an update.

You could always join the other lads at Dusseldorf for the launch / JBO....

Jack, that technology looks fantastic. I can almost feel the new boat smell in my nostrils.

How does creating such a presentation compare to making a similar boat video effort wise?

Not much wrong with the DLR.

Depends on what's on. The last show I was working at there had around 12,000 people queueing when the hall opened every day, and the DLR was a nightmare. I had to change at Canning Town and on one occasion had to let four rammed Beckton trains go before managing to get on one. The next day I tried the cable car - no queues anywhere and lots of fun as well. The Boat Show does not, it seems, have problems with crowd control, but something else might. Anyway, it's a sad heart that doesn't look for any excuse to ride a cable car.

For those that didn't manage to get on board them we used some new software to create virtual tours of the Princess S60 and Sunseeker Manhattan 66.

Sunseeker: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=UdRj4Kqf3QE

Princess: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=ErhqwPt6VsU

It works on any device but it best suited to large touch screens like an iPad.

We'd be interested to get your feedback on whether you find the tool useful.

Thanks,

Jack

Well, my Google Cardboard arrived today. I actually bought VRBox goggles from e-bay for £6.50.

Downloaded the free App and was away. :)

If you could do every boat at a show I wouldn't need to bother going. It's really, really impressive.
