Hi All
Boat show was very quiet on preview day(although we had booked tickets but didn't make it, the Flu got us!!) Thursday, was reasonably quiet, but Sat very busy.
As for parking we were able to park up at the east end by the Sunborn, which was easy but at £2.00 per hour to a max of £10.00, still a rip- off, made only worse by having to pay the same rates at the Hotel!!! We spent more on Parking than on beer!!!!, and then of course Red Kens bit I REALLY begrudge that one! still paying the charge is easy just ring 0845 900 1234 and pay by card over the phone any time before Midnight on the day you incurr the charge. Oh and as usual take your own food, as it is particularly poor this year and even more expensive!!

Will be staying again next weekend so hopefully will find time to actually meet up with a few of you.

Went yesterday (Sunday) by car - it seemed quiet in the halls and I was a bit disapointed with the number of boats in the dock (about a dozen, 8 mobos and all v expensive (£2 - 3 mill ) and no access. Signposts to the show were terrible and with all the new roads looking the same, dead easy to get lost. Our town fete is better signed !

If you have ever been to SIBS / Earls Court etc it is all much the same. Wont bother next year

There was certainly more than a dozen boats on the water, and some were less than 100k. I thought that this year there was a good floating show.

I parked in carpark outside Ramada Hotel, East entrance. 11.30am till 7pm yeaterday. There was a sign saying "boat show parking" or summink, but no barrier, no-one asked for money, so I didn't pay at all. They even gave me a lift to/from door to Excel on one of those golf carts.

I thort the show was quiet yesterday, one exhibitor said the gate was 40% down on same day last year. That 40% figure seemed about right to me. There were long winding queues to board the Sunseeker 75 and 82 Yachts, though talking to a salesman and expressing an interest resulted in being walked straight aboard (somewhat embarrassingly, past all the waiting people, I dare not catch anyone's eye)
