LIBS - News from the front line?

That must depend upon whether you are an owner already or a dreamer. I would think that owners have a different agenda to those of us who crew when the opportunity arises and dream of what they would buy if they won the lottery.

Still I assume the Guinness Stand will still be there.

depends what you're looking for! I went last night and thought it was very good - very well laid out. All the sail yachts are along the back wall of the south hall - so you can go to the guiness bar in the corner (purely as a reference / starting point, of course /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ) and then walk right along the whole wall and see everything - no going round in circles and missing stuff like SIBS or earls court.
The new Oyster 46 is beautiful, but at well over 1/2 mil , a tad over my budget!
My new boat is of course the best one there /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.
I also thought the bavaria 35 match looked interesting if you want something sporty, and VERY reasonably priced. Obviously the HR, Najad, Swan etc are all nice.
I thought that XM / Plastmo and OceanSafety(?) had really good stands - will alot of stuff - so you can look at all the gear without having to try and find it in various chandlery stands.
I'm going back sat / sun but expect it to be alot busier.

What's this? An unsolicited positive comment about a Bavaria on Scuttlebutt, I must be dreaming.
