LIBS and weather

How much do you reckon the weather is gonna effect the turn out? is anyone on here likely to change their mind about going?

...it must effect turn out.... there will be more kids there than ever before! It won't deter me as I am only a 22 minute train ride from Waterloo, for those people who travel from further afield.... I guess they may decide the trip is not worth the risk?

We are going on Wednesday, need some new net curtains. :)

My guess is the die hards will still go but there are sure to be loads who just dont bother as a result of the weather but also what about weekend closures of the Jubilee line. Without that its a real pain getting out to Excel from the London mainline stations. Way back in October the Standard reported that concerts at the O2 were being badly hit.

We are going on Saturday or Sunday.

All main roads are clear and indeed our lorrys have been delivering to the new Excel extention and thoughout London & Home Counties all this week without problems.

Yep I plan to visit next week Thursday (late night opening) and hoping the weather improves, however providing the motorways are clear I don't see it as a big issue. It all depends if we get heavy snow next week.

I reckon it will be quieter or at least hoping.

Trains

We will be there tomorrow, RR sport so not bothered about a little fluffy stuff.:D

Are the only thing that are screwing the journey as in anything from Waterloo. Getting there is fine, coming home is a bit chaotic as in late running and cancelations but I have had nothing too bad as yet. (and I am doing it everyday)

Tube fine (part form this weekend!) DLR spot on.

Roads all been fine if you can get you car to a main road or your area is well gritted.

Good luck and come say hello if you pass...

A friend of mine went today and reported that he could just see one other visitor at the other end of the hall. Overall, he reckoned visitor numbers were about 50% of last year.
Not that it matters of course since the organisers will always claim that the Show was a huge success with visitor numbers higher than ever

Latest from YBW

'Halls packed in spite of weather'
Or summat similar

I do not want to knock any Show or efforts from the UK boaty industry.
Tiss hard enough at the Mo without the weather knackering things up!

Good luck to all who sail in Her etc.

The Truth will out, no doubt!

Good one. And no web cams this year to prove it either ;)

Don't be lulled into a false sense of security - 4x4, SUV or wheel barrow they all slide the same way on sheet ice. I passed two separate upturned 4x4s in the central reservation of the motorway yesteday (X5, Landcruiser)

Country 4x4 drivers seem on top of things but many urban suv drivers seem disconnected from reality, hence all at sea. Keep safe folks

Did you tell

Him it had moved to Excel? I take it he went to Earls Court...

South hall was quiet at times North hall was busy all day, I have the business in the bag to prove it....

Lets wait till the weekend is over before we all write it off or how about those that knock it go and see for them selves.

Cheers
