I am accompanying an auld goat and he has expressed the wish that I wheel his bath chair to the Saga stand so that he can renew a previous acquaintance with one of their sales executives. Unfortunately, I see that Saga are not exhibiting this year. My friend will be distraught unless I find others who are adept at buttering up auld goats. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanking you in advance ...

Wheel him straight to the pub by Inland waterways section.

There seemed to be loats of auld goats there...boring sods.

Can't they sail proper boats on proper bits of water ?

Well if you really want to get the old goats horns aslant then take him to see a Degero, excellent boat for the annusly challenged. Broad in the shoulder and with a nice new engine and bits .. iz tempted myself but I'm not auld enuff. And may I recommend a visit to a good sailmaker for you, I can recollect a similar conversation last year on this subject but yer sails now rather than being merely Collinsesque are tend more to the Sugdenesqe!

Each to their own you young pup or you may not live to the venerable status of Auld Goat. And try to apply some self discipline by not being led by the two repscallions who've tempted you into replying. They're a shameful brace at the best of times and you'd do well to avoid them

Re: Venerable Status

As a very Ex Londoner Concrete and the Thames were often combined to extinguish non goats
