Hi all,
I'm fitting a new Lewmar VX2 windlass and am struggling a bit to figure out the polarity. The motor has 3 connections but there's no marking either on the casing or the motor itself. For a 2-pole motor the worst you can get is it working in the opposite direction, but I'm suspecting a 3-pole motor is a little bit more sensitive so I don't want to just wire it up and see what happens. Anyone have installed these windlasses and figured out the polarity? The manual states that "A2" should be wired to batt negative, but there's nothing to help me determine which of the poles are A2...
