I am giving my 25 year old D2 Clutches a service/clean as I suspect the outboard ones are leaking.

I have two of eight where the captive, round, nut is not coming undone and spinning in its recess.

I have tried pushing some needle nose plyies against the nut. I have also tried super gluing the nut to the plastic. Gentle heat with a soldering iron/hat gun.

Now waiting 24hrs for some Mitre bond to reach full strength.

Cheapest next option is to drill out the machine screw and replace that... Which is something I am poor at (tend to miss the middle and make a mess!)

You could drill a small hole in from the side - through the plastic and into the nut. The plastic would stop the drill wandering as you get to the nut. Insert a suitable pin into the hole and glue it in place
