I've just noticed that there is a lot of play in the bevel gear assembly of my Lewmar thruster.
I fear it'll fail in the near future, the yard marine engineer thinks the hub be full of metal or plastic fillings!
So, before I go down the authorised dealer route, does anyone know of where I might be able to buy a new bow thruster hub, hopefully at a discounted price??
The truster is a TSL150 (which is now obsolete), Part No: 553028, Serial No: 1788725, 5kW
It looks like I'll need the following parts to replace the hub, these parts are for the current model which will apparently fit.
553035 Tunnel Gasket
583003 Hub - 1.5 Ratio
589351 Propeller
589350 Anode Kit All
I've tried the usual google searches and can find a hub in Canada for about £400, but nothing in the UK or EU.
Is there anyone out there who's been down this route before?
