Levi delta hydrosonic

Saw this special little thing a couple of times over the weekend. Spotted first at the folly on Saturday. Then this afternoon they moored up at the Royal Southern YC. They seemed to struggle a tad to get her alongside a pontoon, I guess better to handle flat out?! But did look a really nice thing, and had an aura of something special.

Hello,
I have seen it elsewhere, it comes from the same boatyard the built one of the most famous boats of all time - Surfury. I have met the owner recently and he has meticulously restored it. Awesom. Like a lot of people one falls in love with the Levi Corsair, which is big bucks. Find a boat like this and renovate it.

Surfury was build by Souter in the UK in lamellar wood.
While Corsair was build by Parteno Craft of Naples.

Are you saying for the refit?

Hi, this is my Delta Hydrosonic, she is hard to moor when the wind catches here bow, only weighs 880kg so is subject to the breeze.....

She is my Sonny Levi Delta Hydrosonic, made by Partenocraft in Naples. Sonny was asked to design a C2 class race boat in 1969 by Partenocraft..... Successful in the VBV race and other local events. I bought her 4 years ago and laid a teak deck and removed all the clutter from the deck and stern, so that you can see her lines more clearly. Then I used some Pininfarina styling for the seats and console ..... As Sonny did...... Keep her on the Hamble..

This boat is beautifully kept, so much so, that at the Cowes Classic Powerboat Rally 2016 it won the Playtime II for best wooden boat.

If I'm not mistaken your Hydrosonic featured quite heavily in the last but one episode of the BBC's recent Coast series (the one about the Solent area). Fabulous footage of her at speed. Worth watching the whole thing if it's still on iplayer because it keeps popping up throughout the programme.
