....ho well forumites performed and contributed to the TVR.
Although the forum is not a 'real club' it was noticeable how many of us were actively participating as members of 'real clubs' and how well 'we' did in the boat handling competition as well as participating in other events.
The winning boat was Jaye crewed by Jaws and Dogsbody to great effect, 2nd was Tops with Emma of Pande amongst the all female (and all family!)crew. 3rd was our very own M&T(mouth and trousers /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) John with Claire on No_Regrets - and the only boat competing with just two people on board.
Also worthy of mention was Carli, skippered by Ramages drinking partner/son Rebellion and crewed by mum Marion and Alex - son of Apollo - and they very fittingly picked up the Cadet Trophy!
It was a great shame No_Regrets didn't lift at least one trophy but as first time entrants and only skipper and single crew they turned in a very creditable performance and actually scored more individual test points than the winners!!
As if the boat handling wasn't enough, John had also almost bankrupted himself buying up disco lights on ebay to ensure No-Regrets was well up with the best in the illumitated boat competition - sadly again pipped to the post but at least by another Bray member.
Our very own Brayman was seen rushing hither and thither as TVR secretary and Bray's steward and that nioe Mr Gates turned up to say Hi on Sunday.
The sailpast on Sunday afternoon was quite a sight with getting on for 60 boats cruising up and down the Henley reach in line astern with bunting flying.
A surprise item on the Saturday evening was a guest speaker appearance of Peter, the lockie at Hambledon who delivered an interesting talk about the river and its evirons around Henley.
A good weekend, enjoyed by all, and two full english breakfasts were the icing on the cake.
